Finally a friend noticed i'm slimmer now

Ho..ho...ho...ho.... love that confirmation. I felt the reduction in weight too. It feels so great to not walking around with a huge bloated stomach for more than 12 months. Worse after meal - looked  5-months pregnant. Constipation gone. Energy level returned. Jaw tightening disappeared too. 

Yes, certainly great to be off all medications and be the old self me. Well, at least i get to enjoy this for another one month if my period comes by this Sunday. The truth, we tried once on January 11, the day the mucous signs were so clear and obvious that i didn't need an ovulation kit to confirm. It was so damn tempting because the time the mucous came sticky-clear it was around 3pm on a Sunday and we both were relaxing at home. Why not, we told ourselves. Blame it on our furious desire to parent a child soon. 

We have docked ourselves with a newfound IVF specialist in Klang. The IVF center is a joint-venture between the Kang GH and a private maternity hospital with a mission to help more childless couple to afford IVF treatment at nearly 40% lower than five-star hospitals. Dr took blood sample for a fresh hormonal study on January 13. If i don't get pregnant this month, i am scheduled for the hysterosalpingogram (HSG) - x-ray with dye injected into my uterus. The fee is RM250 compared to RM3000 at five-stars'. And Dino dad will be going to release his first load in a public area too. And i think we are going to have a good laugh later.

Start the new year with a blessing-shower

Last minute decision to call-off the Friday work and sped up to Hatyai at 4.30pm on 2 January 2009. Reached Bukit Kayu Hitam border at 8.30pm. Impossible? Of course can. My baby Honda City V-Tech just can prove it. Its the second time she took us to Hatyai with speed at 150-160 km/hr. Superb smooth transition and holding power. A cruise indeed. Even our Thai driver friend was, again, surprised we arrived one hour earlier than he estimated. Yeah, he's gonna be surprised again the next time we go by this middle of the year.

This is Wat Kotsum, Hatyai, our regular wat (temple) for blessing-shower. Look, a new cat joined residence. Lucky cat to take shelter in a wat. Never go hungry or wet in rain or living in fear of rundown by passing vehicles. Buddha, please bless this fella.

A group of all-male visitors already came in ahead of us. It was only 9am. At the center sits the chief abbot of the wat in deep recitation.

Its been raining non-stop since the hour we reached Hatyai. Its our first blessing-shower in rain out of eight years of visitation. The temperature of the day was around 31 degree. Mind you, we are in a tropical country.

Just imagine being pour cold water from head down at 6am in the morning before going to work - that's how it felt for these guys and all of our. Each person had a pale of blessing-combo consisted of 5 types of flower, some limes, lotus and monk's blessing. After chanting session ended, devotees proceeded to the porch with their pales for the shower session. The monk emptied the blessing water completely onto each individual coupled with more chantings.

The same ritual was done to us too. We prayed for better business opportunities and quickly get a baby.

Tip: Do not go on a weekend or near festives. This place would be overly crowded and you can forget about the shower.

Rest TTC for a month

Its 10 days into a brand new year. And today is just about two to three days away from my ovulation days. I know it even though i have lost take of the charting due to last month's complication. It kinda becomes an automated habit to observe the natural timing of my human body monthly. 

We are not trying anywhere. Taking a month rest. To allow my body's natural to do some fine-tuning. I have completely stopped all TCM so the doc can determine the fibroids status at my next appointment. Oh ya, better make appointment with the doc to consult on all things IVF. 

We are spending this resting well by doing all the things and chores that we have had postponed few months back due to TTC. For instant, we have painted the interior walls of ground floor ourselves about eleven days ago. We even shifted out our sleeping quarter from the back room, in which we have slept in for the past one year, to the front master bedroom in view of the coming 5-yellow after lup-choon on Feb 4. Lots of physical tasks and Dino dad cracked his last finger bone and is in pain till today. Poor Dino dad. I did not checked the date bazi before i moved things around and that was probably the cause of the mishap. Well, damage done. Move on.

Tomorrow we will paint the front patio floor tiles. We taught of hiring helps but don't think anyone would be interested to take this job for less than RM800 and i don't think they worth the money. Need to trim some trees outside and buy new curtains. On the other hand, i have to sit down and plan what goes where to suit according to the interior fengshui guides for 2009. 

All in all, got to prepare everything in and out of my way so that i can have a peace of mind when i finally get pregnant, uh, maybe in February..... he he he.
