Twilight Saga

I am at shock with myself. Saw the first Twilight movie on StarMovie on somewhere middle of Dec 2009 and now i am acting like a teenager going absolutely ga-ga over this novel-turn-movie series.

Bought all 4 books Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn and finished off New Moon 600-odds pages in 3 days. Spent the whole end of Dec 2009 hiding at my favorite reading corner at the house pouring into these pages like an unexplainable romantic teenager relive.

Now i am on a ferocious hunt for the movie New Moon. I can't even concentrate work not thinking about the handsome Edward Cullen. My mind even replay some romantic scenes read from the books while i drive.

As crazy as i sound but i am not shy. Surfing the nets for downloading collections of The Twilight casts like i was at 15. I have got to check on myself where did this sudden influx of adrenalin for teenage romance came from when i am done and through with this fever later.

Unbelievable at myself - madness.

30-9-09 - Bye Bye Legal Ah Long

Its official! We have settled our first home loan with Standard Chartered Bank and today is history.

Finally. We are elated. We are floating in euphoria, literally.

To celebrate our release, hubby and i patted each other's back and yamseng-ed teh tarik at Nainas mamak nearby our house.

We cheered to our record time in finishing the loan in just 12 years instead of 30 years. We cheered to all of our hard work and perseverance paid off. We cheered to our decisions on no-LouisVutton-for-now. We cheered to our choice on traveling everything low-fare and low-budget. We cheered to our decision to postpone wedding to 6 years later. We cheered to our decision to defer ownership of our desired Period-8 home 7 years later. We cheered to our reluctance but still serviced someone else's house with a non-refundable sum of RM76,800. We cheered to our prudentially guided lifestyle. And lastly, we unanimously cheered to ourselves for truly owning a piece of mid-end condominium in the heart of Kuala Lumpur to our names rightfully and legally.......haaaaaaaaaah.......what a blast......

And now, we are getting ready to be bombarded with our first pot of gold in real hard cash by end of November. Life is certainly rewarding to those, that meant us, who'd slaved with two to three jobs at a time for more than 10 years. Yeh!

Drove into motor lane

Wahahahahaha......... i drove my car into the Singapore-Malaysia cross-way motorcycle lane on May 8. Serious! With hundreds of witnesses.

I only hoped no one captured me stucked in the lane for about 5 minutes until one Mr nice custom-official rescued my car out of the lane. It was nearly 2am and i certainly hoped all motorists were too eager to get home for their depraved sleep than to really notice this Kuala Lumpur plated black Honda City blocking their way with double signals on i better checkout youtube now.

Blame it on the show Guai Tham, a weekly Saturday live show in Hong Kong discussing on paranormals. I was so indulged in sharing ghostly episodes with my brother that all 4 pairs of eyes didn't notice the blinking green sign above flashing "Motorcycle Lane". We only realised when the lane gotten narrower as we went.

What an adventure of the year 2009. It was just a roundtrip to get both mine and Dino dad's newly renewed passports stamped and a bowl of fried ngau yook hoh at Geylang red-light district.

A brand new year 2009

Another year has gone by. I can hear fire-crackers being light up from the field of the local council of my residential area. Hey, wait a minute. All shots died down unknowingly. Seems like they have trimmed the budget for this celebration this year. They don't need taxpayers telling them there's a recession going on. Good for my dearest Pepsi and Corgie and the cats too.

Dino dad is already zzzzz soundly. Not much happened today except worked till passed 8pm to complete a magazine ad for a ridiculous client who puts everyone else's deadline at the back seat of this car. Because of him, we'd cancelled our trip to Hatyai today. 

But the day ended well with 2 positive feedbacks, for Dino dad, one - from the buyer who finds our proposed selling price of crude coconut oil favorable, two - received 2 seller agreed to offer the coconut oil at USD500 per tonne. Hurray! i'd like to think that we ended the year with a possible deal, a deal so good that it could make me a housewife for at least two years, so that it can fall into our plan to really take things easy when the next pregnancy comes around.

Dino dad, a jia day master with a strong bazi. Controlling and exhaustive elements such as geng and ding have been said, by a few masters, would be useful in 2008 as it was a yang earth year. Sure enough, for the first time in many after getting to know bazi study, the yang earth year 2008 had opened up three business diversification opportunities - international trading in scrapped-engines, coconut oil and bird nests. As a matter of fact, one successful shipment of scrapped engines had landed at Port Klang from Australia and delivered to a client in Shah Alam last week, and one batch of bird nests had landed in Foshan, China in November . That was no million-dollar deal, no matter how drooling we are, but it was a neat eleven thousand profit. Good enough for now, at least there's money made while still picking up valuable real-life practical exports and imports lessons. And, needless to spend tens of thousands for a degree on this.

To hell for Malaysian economy. Its too small a pie to share. Earning foreign currency is our main resolution for the next few years. The world-over is where we shall be digging and looking for our first pot of gold. 

Though Dino dad's bazi is endowed with three wealth elements; two on heavenly stem and one on the earthly branch, we have yet to fathom how much do all these elements actually worth. No masters have ever gone this deep with us. Can they tell? Can a person's nett worth be read from a bazi? Damn! regret that i didn't ask Joey Yap on this. Darn! Amber Cheah has gotten the first taste of her RM2 million nett worth of wealth luck in just less than four years since her contract with Guess back in 2004. There could be more coming for her in the near future as she is setting her aim at Hollywood. Arrrrggggg.....how much is our nett worth????

Damn, already swearing by the first hours of a new year. Heck, i am already feeling tired even on this start of a new year. Because, the economy has been predicted to be continued gloomy and uncertain. Everyday, there are CEOs and economists painting fear all over the business sections. We are facing huge A&P budget trimming exercises from Clients. On the other hand, some clients have been secretly whispering in my ears their fear of possible lay-off. Ai......... kasihan also, la.

Well, at least the annual prosperity star 8 will be arriving in the west sector and we have already moved our bedroom to receive it. That's one consolation. But poor Dido dad ended his year with a cracked fifth finger. Badly hurt while shifting the bedrooms. Ai........... it will take months to heal.

For me, i might be going to the hospital this weekend to have a second hermorroid removal surgery. Its bad situation for me if it gets worse tomorrow. This time i am going for the laser option.

What a blasted year-end for me! 

Cycle 16 : Day 27 - Scrap-engine and bird nest business gearing

A confirmed order for scrap engines to China today!!! Wow wow wow. The scrap-engine business seems to move much faster than the advertising business. Could this really be the classic case of geng 'yang metal' chopping jia 'yang wood' to produce usefullness??? Dino dad is a very strong Jia person and as stated in most Bazi books that the strong requires 'controlling elements' in order to bring out the potentials destined in one's life.

The bird nest though not going as fast as the scrap-engines but now it eventually closing up on a buyer from HongKong too. Both new ventures only started seriously in mid August 2008. Joey Yap said the birds belong to the fire element. Thus, fire and metal are the controlling element to a wood. We really really hope to see more of this classic elements evolve more clearly from now on.

1st scrap-metal done deal

Mr Vellu saw the scraps and he liked the quality and confirmed purchase. He sent a lorry to picked up the scraps at late evening. Just like that!

For the first time we really feel the effects coming from working on the field which the element suits us. The scrap-metal business was conceived after meeting with Ah Fook and Ah Wah after returning from Macao on 4th week of July 2008, started advertising the ad banner in alibaba.com and started negotiations with some interested parties and whoala, the first deal sealed and transacted in approximately 1.5 month. Deal gross valued at RM48,000.00. Geng metal it is from now!

An astrologer prediction for Dino dad

An internet based French astrology had predicted that August 16 would see a major turning point in Dino dad's life destiny. She was convinced that 3 major aspects of his life would meet a see the life-steering wheel turning to 'great'. Mind you, it is 'great', not just good.

Aspect 1 : She was convinced that she saw great career opportunities are going to come by his path and that will bring him on to the next level of his career life.

Could she mean the bird nests trading business that Dino dad just started in the first week of August? If she meant that, yeah, we have to agree that the bird nests sales did so far been very encouraging. Dino dad captured a sales volume amounting to nearly 8,000 in 1.5 months into this business through friends and 2 retail establishments. Currently he is aggressively negotiating some export routes to China and Hong Kong. However, he has his fair share of headache with supply consistency and competitive supply-pricing. So, it's not 'that great' yet as predicted.

Could the French woman meant the scrap metal trading too? No doubt, this is yet another new business venture that Dino dad was given the introduction to this field somewhere in the 4th week of July 2008 during a complimentary trip to Macau. Coincidentally, since the business idea was incepted, Dino dad has secured a buyer who is interested in acquiring a 20-tonne shipment, and another potential buyer from India confirming appointment by next Wednesday. Also, he is facing his share of setback in which a partner is not able to pace up with Dino dad, and that, is a killer. So, again, it's not 'that great' yet as predicted.

Aspect 2 : She was convinced that she saw Dino dad will be gaining a financial breakthrough, by way of a potential windfall luck to the scale of possibly solving all his financial problems all along. Wow, isn't it comforting just merely listening to it? Our hearts did a few summersaults. So far, Dino dad just won a grand RM50.00 at two different occasions. Whoahahaha, wueii....didn't she said 'breakthrough'??

Please don't be that RM160,000.00 to be gained from the sale-off of our regretful investment in a once positioned as the upper-class condominium in Pandan Indah now turned into a mediocre apartment with Bangladeshis for neighbors. From the RM160,000, 2 percent will be going to the realtor's service, 1 percent for the lawyer's service, RM20,000 for the bank loan balance and perhaps another 1 percent for settling any unforeseen expenses which i know, will definitely creep up from nowhere. Already sold at a loss from the original RM198,000 + loan repayment interests for 10 years, we should be thankful if we can receive no less than RM120K. We certainly hope she didn't mean this financial breakthrough.

Aspect 3 : She was convinced that she saw Dino dad's love life would turn to great too. This part, honestly, only attracted the female pillar of this house - me. As it is already an opened-book that the storks keep missed dropping a baby at our door step, this is one prediction i fervently wish the French lady could have had gotten it correct.

To add sour cream topping to our already-sorely-challenged life, Dino dad accidently deleted a file that wiped out the whole work-data in Mac 3. Wah lao yeh..... sour-saga to be continued.
